This year’s ranking of Estonia’s most valuable technology companies also includes a number of defence companies, such as DefSecIntel Solutions, Milrem Robotics and Threod Systems – Unmanned Aircraft Systems. The innovative warfare solutions created by these and many others have reached foreign markets and proved that a global breakthrough for companies from a small country like Estonia is not impossible, writes Kalev Koidumäe, CEO of the Estonian Defence and Aerospace Industries Association.
So let us put our proximity to the front line to work for us, and remember that the success of the Estonian defence industry on the international market is both a direct success of the Estonian economy and a part of the defence capability.
