On October 6 and 7, representatives of the Swedish Security and Defence Industry Association (SOFF), the Swedish defence industry, the Ministry of Defence, and the Swedish Defence Materiel Administration visited Estonia.

The visit included networking between Estonian and Swedish defence industry companies, an Estonian-Swedish defence industry seminar, B2B meetings and equipment displays.
The seminar and meetings were very informative and productive. The parties discussed opportunities for cooperation and expressed interest in joint development projects, defence innovation, and cyber security.

Kalev Koidumäe, CEO of the Estonian Defence & Aerospace Industry Association: “I was pleased to introduce the activities of the Estonian defence industry and the products of our companies to representatives of the Swedish Ministry of Defence and companies. The meeting provided a good overview of developments and needs in Sweden’s defence capabilities. Defence industry companies on both sides of the Baltic Sea share a common goal: to provide solutions to ensure our security.”

On behalf of EDIA, we would like to thank EIS | Enterprise Estonia, the Estonian Embassy in Stockholm, the Swedish Embassy in Estonia, and SOFF for coordinating the visit.
