EDIA had a great opportunity to introduce the President of the European Commission and European Commissioner for Defence and Space to the innovative capabilities of the Estonian defence industry and to highlight the biggest concern of our defence industry- the fragmentation of the European defence market, where companies have to do go-to-market 27 times within the EU, which makes it difficult for defence industry companies in smaller member states to scale their business.
The President of the European Commission was able to take a test drive with Milrem Robotics’s UGV THeMIS, get acquainted with DefSecIntel Solutions’s situational awareness systems, and do a test flight with Threod Systems’ drone catapult.
