At the annual conference held yesterday, November 30, the Estonian Defence and Aerospace Industry Association recognized this year’s biggest contributors to security. The Defense Industry Company of the Year 2023 is DefSecIntel Solutions, a manufacturer of surveillance and intelligence systems. The title of the most important cooperation partner was awarded to the assistant of the Estonian defense attaché in Kyiv, lieutenant colonel Andris Sprivul.
The focus of the EKTL annual conference, which brought together defense experts and entrepreneurs, was new technologies and their impact on security. The current situation of the defense industry, future perspectives as well as Estonia’s contribution on the international level were discussed. It is important to emphasize that all these product developments and international experiences of defense and space industry companies are an additional resource and contribution to strengthening Estonia’s defense capability.
Innovation was the reason why EKTL named DefSecIntel Solutions as the Defense Industry Company of the Year, whose high-tech intelligence systems have helped and are still helping Ukraine very significantly on the battlefield. As a partner of EKTL, who has given more to the development of the defense industry than his official duties would require, the title of “Open to Change” was awarded to the assistant Estonian defense attaché in Kyiv, lieutenant colonel Andris Sprivul.
