A business delegation from the Estonian Defence and Aerospace Industry Association visited Norway on 5-6 June with the aim of finding new markets and partners for Estonian defence companies. During the visit, meetings were held with representatives of the Norwegian Defence Industry Association, the Norwegian Ministry of Defence and local companies.
The Norwegian Ministry of Defence provided a comprehensive overview of the next 12 years of investments in the defence sector and highlighted potential cooperation opportunities for defence companies in the region. There was a strong interest in Estonian defence industry products and production capabilities, which creates a positive expectation for further cooperation projects.
The visit was attended by 10 Estonian and 19 Norwegian companies. Special thanks are due to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Estonia and especially to the Estonian Embassy in Oslo, which hosted the delegations. Thanks are also due to the Estonian Centre for Defence Investments // Riigi Kaitseinvesteeringute Keskus for providing an overview of Estonian defence procurement and to the Norwegian Defence and Security Industries for organising the seminar.
