Poland’s largest defence industry group, Polska Grupa Zbrojeniowa S.A. (PGZ), visited Estonia last week with the aim of strengthening cooperation between the two countries’ defence industries and creating new business opportunities. The visit marked an important step in advancing regional defence collaboration, bringing together leading companies, experts, and decision-makers from both Poland and Estonia. A total of 45 Estonian companies and 15 Polish companies participated in the event.

At the core of the visit was an industry seminar that addressed defence sector trends, innovation opportunities, and cooperation potential across various fields. The seminar provided a valuable platform for knowledge exchange and for jointly mapping future directions.

During the visit, PGZ Group also signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Rantelon to introduce its electronic warfare and counter-drone solutions to the Polish market, as well as a Memorandum of Understanding with Milrem Robotics to support the development, integration, and adoption of next-generation robotic solutions.

Particular emphasis was placed on B2B meetings, during which more than 50 substantive bilateral discussions took place. These meetings enabled participants to establish new contacts, showcase their capabilities, and explore cooperation opportunities in product development, supply chains, and joint projects.

In addition, the delegation visited 11 Estonian manufacturing companies, gaining first-hand insight into the competencies, technological solutions, and production capabilities of the local defence industry.
The visit clearly confirmed that there is significant potential for closer cooperation between the Polish and Estonian defence industries. The shared objective is to strengthen regional security, develop innovative solutions, and enhance the international competitiveness of both countries.

The event was funded by the European Union’s recovery instrument NextGenerationEU and organized in cooperation with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Estonia and the Estonian Embassy in Warsaw.
