Siim Kangur has joined the Estonian Defence and Aerospace Industry Association as a development advisor.
Siim has previously worked in the start-up world at companies Click and Grow and Spacedrip, where his responsibilities included international cooperation, negotiations, and in the case of Spacedrip, management of defense industry related activities. Meanwhile, in the latter one, he continues to work also in the future.
He was interested in the development advisor position primarily because he has had a long-standing desire to contribute to the development of Estonia’s defense industry.
“I have been following the association’s activities and have been connected from the client or member side for several years, so I know well how important the association’s role is in ensuring the sustainability of the defense industry, mediating information, and shaping positions. I couldn’t miss the opportunity to contribute personally during this pivotal time,” he says.
He has set his goals to ensure support for Estonian defense industry companies in international projects, create favorable conditions for expanding local production, and to ensure that Estonia’s defense industry is the most flexible and innovative in Europe.
