In the last week of January, Rene Ehasalu, the cluster manager of Defence Estonia, together with the Minister of Defence and representatives of nine Estonian defence industry companies, visited South Korea and Japan for four days. Since both Estonian, South Korean and Japanese defence industry companies are high-tech oriented, the aim of the visit was to create new contacts in addition to existing ones and find opportunities for cooperation between the defence industries. In South Korea, the delegation visited one of the country’s leading defence industry companies, Hanwha Aerospace. In Japan, several meetings took place and a seminar organised by good partners JADI and ATLA aimed at introducing investment and cooperation opportunities with the Japanese government and large corporations.
Special thanks are due to the Minister of Foreign Affairs, especially Estonian Embassy in Seoul and Tokyo, who hosted business delegation and help to put together agenda.
