Defence Industry Company of the Year is HEVI Optronics!
The Estonian Defence and Aerospace Industries Association celebrated its 15th anniversary and handed out awards at its Annual Conference yesterday. HEVI Optronics, developer and manufacturer of electro-optical sensor systems, was awarded the title of Defence Industry Company of the Year.
The “Avatud muutustele” award, which is designed to recognise an individual who has made a significant contribution to the development of the defence industry, was this year given to Aivar Hanniotti, the Estonian Defence League’s unmanned aircraft coordinator.
Six companies that have been members of the EKTL since its inception in 2009 – BLRT Grupp, Telegrupp AS, Samelin AS, Viking Security, Enersense Estonia and Estiko Packaging Solutions – were also recognised.
